Privacy Policy
Monthline is local-first personal finance decision-support software. It helps you review cash flow, debts, subscriptions, reserves, assets, expected sales, and imported account evidence.
What Stays Local By Default
- Manual entries, draft rows, and confirmed local finance rows are stored on your device by default.
- Voice recordings and transcripts are processed to create review rows after you tap record.
- Draft and imported rows are not treated as final until you explicitly confirm them.
Optional Provider Calls
Monthline may send limited data to a provider only after explicit user action:
- If you enable network AI parsing in Settings, the selected transcript or recording-derived text may be sent to your chosen provider to create review rows.
- If you connect a bank account, Plaid and the Monthline broker may process account, balance, transaction, liability, or recurring-transaction data needed for the connection.
- Monthline does not ask for or store bank usernames or passwords.
API keys entered in Settings are stored in the device Keychain. Provider secrets for Plaid belong on the broker backend, not in the iOS app.
Not Advice
Monthline is not a bank, lender, broker, custodian, credit bureau, investment adviser, debt settlement company, tax adviser, or legal adviser. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, credit, or debt-settlement advice.
Deletion and Export
During the private beta, you can use the in-app reset flow in Settings to delete all local database entries, or use the JSON export to extract your data. To request assistance with waitlist email deletion, contact us at runway@monthline.app.
